Crick 2025 Boat Show – Kicking Off the Season

Crick 2025 marked not only the first of the four boat shows we’ll be visiting this year, but also the 25th anniversary of the show itself. A perfect way to celebrate such a milestone, with more boats, innovations, and ideas on display than ever before.

We travelled up the night before and stayed nearby at a hotel, arriving fresh and ready for a full day. At the show, we met up with our friends Neil and Naomi, which made exploring together even more enjoyable.

The standout theme this year was the growth of all-electric boats, many fitted with clever additions like water-based underfloor heating. Builders are also paying more attention to comfort, with integrated mosquito nets and blackout blinds becoming common features.

Another highlight was spotting some of our favourite boating vloggers around the show — always a reminder of the vibrant and supportive community around life on the water. And of course, no trip to Crick is complete without a stop at the music and beer tent, where the atmosphere was as lively as ever.

We won’t be back to Crick for another three years, but that visit will be a turning point for us. Crick 2028 will mark the beginning of our own boating journey, when we’ll be talking to builders, gathering quotes, and securing a build slot for the following year. Exciting times lie ahead, and this year’s 25th anniversary show has given us even more inspiration for the boat we hope to one day call home.
